Bin Washer BW-2 is a washing machine for bins and containers with two separate tanks: a pre-wash tank and a wash water tank. The pre-wash rinses coarse soil off with cold water into its own tank, and the actual wash runs on separate wash water at 55–65 °C. With two tanks the wash water stays clean through the whole shift: the wash result is consistent, water consumption is 20 litres per cycle and capacity 20–50 cycles per hour.
Two-tank system: separate pre-wash tank and wash water tank Bin Washer BW-2 has two tanks that are separate from each other. The pre-wash tank circulates cold water that rinses loose soil, food residue and fat off the bin. The wash water tank holds adjustable 55–65 °C wash water, where the bin is washed with detergent dosing. Soil from the pre-wash stays in its own tank and never reaches the wash water. In a single-tank machine the pre-wash and the wash share the same water, so the water gets dirty as the shift goes on and detergent performance drops. In the BW-2 the hot wash water and detergent only meet an already pre-washed surface, so the result is the same from the first wash of the shift to the last, and the wash water lasts longer between changes. Construction and operation The controls run on Siemens TIA Portal S7 logic. Several heating options and accurate detergent dosing keep the hygiene level consistent. The stainless construction withstands demanding industrial use and is easy to clean and service. The BW-2 washes 200 l bins and 1000 l containers at 20–50 cycles per hour and can be integrated into an existing production line. Electrical connection is 400 V / 100 A.
