The Bail Arm Opener automatically operates the hinged bail arms (handles) of transport crates on the washing line. When the bail arms are locked, crates stack securely on top of each other; when opened, crates nest inside each other to save space. Automation frees up labor for other tasks and improves work safety by removing repetitive manual handling.
The device detects the bail arm position optically and opens or locks it with a pneumatic actuator. It is designed for standard crates (600×400 mm) and integrates into existing washing lines without significant changes to the surrounding conveyor system. The electrical control is compatible with common PLC systems, and pneumatic operation ensures a fast cycle and minimal maintenance. The device is manufactured from stainless steel for durability in wet washing-line conditions and to meet food industry hygiene requirements.
