Safety Light Curtain
The Safety Light Curtain protects the operator by automatically stopping the machine when the light beam is interrupted. It meets the requirements of machine safety standard EN ISO 13849-1 and is suitable for protecting washing lines, stackers, and conveyor systems. Seamless integration with Pohjaranta machine control systems speeds up commissioning and ensures CE compliance.

Product overview
Available in multiple heights: low for restricted spaces, high for taller equipment, and a portal model for protection spanning multiple conveyors (also available in an 8-conveyor version). Can be installed on brackets as part of a wider conveyor system.
The safety rating is Category 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1, and the units integrate into Pohjaranta machine control systems with common safety relays or safety PLCs. This simplifies CE marking and reduces machine safety engineering costs.
