Transfer Cart

A transfer cart between conveyor lines When a line has several parallel conveyors, buffer lanes or storage positions, the transfer cart links them without a forklift. The cart receives a stack or pallet from one conveyor, travels along its rails to the right lane and feeds the load onto the next conveyor. In delivered systems the transfer cart has, for example, taken roll containers from a buffer position to the unloading station, moved full crate stacks from stack buffer conveyors to robot palletizing, and served as a belt-driven cart in a bin store. How the transfer cart works The cart runs on rails with a toothed belt drive. A gear motor controlled by an absolute encoder positions the cart accurately and repeatably at each lane, and the integrated roller conveyor moves the load on and off the cart. Electric drive and PLC-compatible control allow automatic operation as part of the wider logistics chain. The hygienic stainless steel construction is easy to clean and maintain in food and packaging plants.
