This complete solution is designed for the washing, handling, and storage of stainless-steel bins in demanding industrial environments. At its core is a three-stage washing line consisting of pre-wash, main wash, and rinse sections. The washing technology is based on the proven system used in crate washers, ensuring high cleanliness levels and hygienic results.

The automated bin feeding system processes three units at a time and transfers them to the bin turning device via a conveyor. The system accommodates design variations, such as the absence of a central axle in certain bin models, ensuring reliable handling. The washing process features drum filters, mesh screens, a low-profile stainless-steel chain with lugs for secure positioning, and adjustable temperatures for each stage (+35–65°C). Water consumption is optimized to 3–5 liters per bin, and a detergent dosing system is included.

After washing, bins pass through an RFID reading station that ensures individual identification and directs rejected units to the reject conveyor. The system interfaces with a Siemens control and monitoring platform (WinCC Unified), enabling real-time monitoring of alarms, statuses, and measurement values.

Clean bins are stored in a high-capacity storage system for 408 units, with top-entry feeding, step-operated conveyors, a belt-driven transfer carriage, and individual cell emptying functions. The design incorporates robust safety features, including protected motors and gearboxes to prevent oil or water contamination, and hoist mechanisms secured against sudden drops.

The system also includes a manual turning device for bins with damaged RFID tags, required safety fencing, service platforms, and a Siemens mobile panel with four connection points for safe and flexible operation. The complete setup combines high throughput, long service life, and reliable operation, improving production efficiency and reducing manual handling.
